Job search dilema regarding relocation?

I lived and worked in Chicago for five years before moving back to Michigan after my company was sold and I divorced. While I have a job here in Michigan, I would love to return to Chicago. Most of my job searching turns up local applicants only though. A friend of mine is more than willing to let me use her address, though it doesn’t address the fact that my current job is still here in Michigan. Any ideas?
Unfortunately, I cannot afford to move to Chicago without having a job in place first, though to my benefit, I can afford to move there immediately once hired and get an apartment as my entire apartment is in storage in Chicago.
