Seeing as this subject has been brought up manytimes in this section, I’m posting it here. I know it is not only Egyptian men who commit such an act, but many of them are just finding it a way of getting out of their country in search of the so-called American dream. They take advantage of naive women and make them think they’re in love with them (while they’re only in love with their citizenship) so they can be legal residents. They would even go for divorced women with kids or women who are much older to them (to westerners- this is very untraditional in the middle east unlike in the west) I have seen/heard of many failing examples of men, Egyptians and non-Egyptians, who have done that. Not only are they taking advantage of the woman they marry and deceiving her, but they’re also ruining their life and spending a big part of it with some1 they don’t love and eventually end up being divorced. I personally think that such undecent men r half-men who have no pride in themselves.
Some ppl excuse them cuz of the harsh circumstances they face in their own country. But is there really an excuse for doing this? If ppl cant find what they dream of in their own country and wish to find it abroad, they can still make their dream come true but in a decent,non-deceiving way, not just go online and chat with an american or european citizen and next day make her think he’s in love with her. Also, I don’t blame it only on the man,but also on the women who are despearate, stupid, and naive enough to believe he’s in love with her. A very close person to me is going through this and I don’t know what to do with her, she wouldn’t listen no matter how much I clarify things to her :( (
it’s not illegal- they do it the legal way
Beautiful- I am an American citizen too and while I was living in USA, I faced the same problem with guys claiming love while all they’re after is my status, but who are they fooling? I’m the last one on earth who could fall for this!
and al7amdu lilah, Allah rewarded me with a very good husband who is EGYPTIAN CITIZEN! but is totally against the idea of going to usa.

I’ve searched the web everywhere…does anyone know if you can get a divorce while pregnant in Pennsylvania? Or would I have to wait until the baby is born?
I have researched this and have discovered that some states will not allow this because the whole case needs to be reopened once the child is born. I just can’t find anything in PA. And trust me…this is not what I want…this is my husband’s choice that I can’t even come close to understanding.

My wife and I have been together for 26 years, married 16 of these years. She is not happy and is searching for some answers. She would like to take some time apart to think about her life and our life together. She was having an emotional affair with an old boyfriend and acknowledges there is some connection there. I do not think time apart is the correct solution; I would rather advance to a divorce versus living in this middle zone.

I have two friends that I grew up with in Douglasville, Georgia and I lost contact when I got happily divorced (all my belongings were there). I would like to know how I can find them again since they are not computer users! Where do I look to search for them (google, zabaa, and yahoo don’t work).
I only know there first and last names…and location of town and state.

We got married in Colorado, ended up in Oklahoma for his job, lived there for 2 years. Left him, want a divorce, there is no contesting, we agree on everything. Can or should I file online? If not, what state do I file in? I have searched the web for an Oklahoma state website for legal forms, and everything I find is wanting money. In colorado they have the forms available for you.
Any advice would be greatly appriciated.
